The Borough Park is a 9 acre park located along the north side of the 300 block of Delaware Avenue. It is primarily dedicated to passive recreation with shaded walkways and lawns. The bandstand in the western portion is used for community concerts, public events and is available for private ceremonies such as weddings by prior approval. There is an extensive play structure and tot lot in the northwest quadrant.
During the first weekend after Labor Day the park is home to the Palmerton Community Festival with rides, crafts, displays, music and a large number of food stands. For information on participating in the festival, contact Susan Arner at 610-826-7515. Schools and day care centers use the park for recreational activities during the school year. From mid-June to the end of July a summer recreation program is held during the morning hours. The Palmerton Concourse Club sponsors concerts in the park on Sundays from mid-June through August.
