Outdoor Burning

Keep these tips in mind as you and your family enjoy your summer!

  1. Outdoor fires should only be in noncombustible containers designed for that purpose.
  2. A mesh screen over the fire is preferred to keep embers contained.
  3. Fires should be no closer than 15 feet from your house, garage etc.
  4. Only burn clean wood, No garbage or other recyclables
  5. Clear leaves and branches from roofs, gutters, porches, and decks. Remove dead plants, leaves and branches at least 10 feet from your home.
  6. NEVER leave the fire unattended
  7. Do not burn during high winds, drought, or high temperatures.
